Life-like stuffed Maine Coon cats

October 26, 2007

No no, this is not a re-post. This is follow up to the Life like stuffed Maine Coon cats post. Because I was really interested in what people were looking for in a stuffed Maine Coon cat, I did some research. The results are shocking. Please prepare for what you are about to see.

Arie does Zen … or zzz

October 21, 2007

Arie is by far the happiest cat that I know. He only sleeps, eats and gets cuddled and is hardly ever cranky. Even when he is sleeping, or almost sleeping he looks like he has reached a Zen state. Or maybe Zzzzenzzz…., but still, he looks very content indeed.

Zen to tha Z to..tha..Zzzzz
“I’m on your cabinet, catching my Zenzzzz.”

Another window cat

October 20, 2007

I was talking to a cat that was lying in a window-sill, and at first he was like:

Say whah!

But once he got used to me, it was more like:

I see your point

However, when I told him I quite like dogs as well, it was back to:

Kitty dog shock

And it was all “talk to the hand” from there:

Puhhhr-leeeease

Life like stuffed Maine Coon cats

October 14, 2007

Avid readers will know that I’m a sucker for statistics and search keywords. It always amazes me how people end up on my blog and what search terms they use to get here. Recently, I discovered a real gem:

Sicko!

If you look under Yesterday, you’ll see what I mean. One person ended up on Catsnstuff looking for “stalker cat”. Yes, that is weird and kind of creepy, but below that is something more amazing: life like stuffed maine coon cats.

I’ve tried to wrap my head around this, but seriously can’t. There is no likely, nay, non-psychopathic explanation for these search terms. It can mean two things. One is the most…um….’logical’ reason, namely that someone was looking for a life-like stuffed Main Coon. Well, wouldn’t you just love to have a stuffed cat in your house, that is life-like as well! I mean, I really hate it when every stuffed animal that I add to my collection looks so dead. That’s creepy.

But my favourite explanation is that someone wants to know what life is like for a stuffed Maine Coon. I would imagine that it’s not very like-like (!) and boring, maybe even a little mouldy. It would be nice and quiet though, maybe when I retire, I will my life like a stuffed Maine Coon cat.

Recipe for a cat’s attention

October 6, 2007

Sometimes, I run in to multiple cats that either a: ignore me or b: fight for my attention. Well, of course I enjoy both, and here is a fine example of occurrence b.

This red and white cat with a very uninterested look on his face first looked at me in disgust almost:

Whaddayawant
“What gives? What ever…”

Semi-interest
“Let me disinterest you up close.”

He walked off, and then another cat took his place with a lot more vigour and interest”

Look at me!!!

But after about half a minute, the first cat came back to check out what was going on:

Stealing some thunder anyone?

Well, my camera batteries died after this picture, but suddenly the red and white cat was relentless in purrsuing (worst spelling pun ever) my attentions. The moral of the story is, as many cat lovers know, is that whenever your cat ignores you, just grab any other pet or stuffed toy, book, paper and give it attention, stir it and let it sit for a minute, and voila, instant cat love!
